Friday Food For Thought

Food For Thought - Visits with Pets Enhances and Transforms Lives

Dear Parent/Guardians,

For our families who have pets, you no doubt deeply understand the value of your house pet in supporting you and your family's mental well being. Pets are key members of our families and they impact our mental health in a myriad of positive ways. This is why we will, again this year, welcome back Jura, Pacific Animal Therapy Society dog. She is an accredited therapy dog from P.A.T.S. www.patspets.ca. and does student wellness visits here at Sidney, with her handler, Nick, every Tuesday from 1:30-2:45. Jura does not circulate through the school but has a designated room for her scheduled student wellness visits.

Do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Mary Lynn Heron, Principal at 250 656 3958 (local: 81162) or mheron@saanichschools.ca if you have any questions or concerns about this program.
