Hello Sidney Families,
This month at Sidney Elementary we are focusing on the virtue of gratitude. There is so much for us to be thankful for. Our student announcers from Division 17 remind us to show our gratitude throughout the day. Ask your child what they are grateful for! Our school is grateful for the support of our families and the Sidney Community.
Bikes on School Grounds
We are so lucky to be a walkable/bikeable/scooterable community! Our bike racks are always full and we are so happy to have our students get fresh air and exercise before the school day. Just a reminder to our students and families that our school grounds are very busy before and after school. For this reason, we ask that all students and families dismount and walk their bikes on school property. We have had some near misses on our playground and we don’t want any collisions. Thank you for reminding your children to walk their bikes once they enter the school grounds.
Indoor Soccer
Indoor Soccer is starting up next week for our intermediate (grade 4 and 5) students. We will have practices and games during the lunch hour followed by a district soccer jamboree. If your child is interested in joining but did not attend the initial meeting, please contact your child’s teacher to add their name to the list.
Clothing Swap
Our amazing PAC has organized a clothing swap after school on November 10 (3 - 4pm) Please see the flyer attached for more information.
